金秋送爽，由北京大学企业家俱乐部近20位理事组成的北大企业家代表团将于九月底访问湾区，北京大学北加州校友会特于九月二十七日晚在南湾举行2013未名论坛，届时北京大学企业家俱乐部理事们将与湾区校友和朋友现场交流，并由新东方教育科技集团董事长俞敏洪，赛富投资基金首席合伙人阎焱等主讲企业家与人文精神。这将是继去年黄怒波校友"北大精神，勇攀高峰"精彩演讲后的又一场盛会。

俞敏洪理事简介：

北京大学1980级西语系英语专业。新东方教育科技集团董事长、创始人。北京大学企业家俱乐部理事长。社会职位有全国青联常委、民盟中央常委、第十一届全国政协委员等。1993年创办北京新东方学校，2001年成立新东方教育科技（集团）有限公司。俞敏洪先生和他创办的新东方，18年来一直致力于中国青少年的教育与成长。从小起步，新东方已发展成为中国规模最大、最具影响力的私立教育品牌和行业领导者。2006年9月7日，新东方在美国纽约证券交易所成功上市，成为中国第一家在美国上市的教育培训机构。2008年，因为新东方在公益慈善领域的突出贡献，被民政部等部委授予"中华慈善奖"。截至2011年5月31日，新东方已经在全国48个城市设立了54所学校、6家产业机构、47家书店以及500家学习中心。自成立以来，新东方面授学员超过1200万人次。俞敏洪及其领衔的新东方创业团队已在全国多所高校举行几百场免费励志演讲。

阎焱理事间介：

北京大学1984级社会学硕士。现为赛富亚州投资基金的首席合伙人。阎先生于2004年及2007年被中国风险投资协会选为「最佳创业投资人」，在2007年获Private Equity International评为「全球最杰出的五十位创业投资人」之一，被《福布斯》中文版评为2008及2009年中国最佳创业投资人第一名及获Asia Venture Capital Journal 颁发"Venture Capital Professional of the Year" in 2009。。在阎先生的领导下，赛富基金于2004年及2007年被中国风险投资协会评选为「最佳创业投资基金」，更被Private Equity International于2005年, 2006年和2008评选为「亚洲最佳创业投资基金」及「2009年亚洲最佳成长投资基金」。

梅竹賽，是位於新竹的兩所國立大學─交通大學與清華大學於每年三月間所舉辦的校際比賽。自民國58年正式舉辦至今年已有幾十年的歷史，在交清兩校的學生活動上，佔有極重要的份量。飲水思源，梅竹賽的緣起，當回溯至民國五十年代；交大與清大在台復校後，因兩校校地位置相鄰，且學生人數相近，而學生之背景與就讀的科系性質亦相似，所以兩校同學彼此之間在生活，課業與活動的往來就相當的頻繁，因而不斷的有聯誼活動。

民國五十五年，兩校之間曾舉辦過技藝對抗賽。到了民國五十七年，時任活動中心幹事的錢鋒學長終於獲得課外活動組主任戈武先生及學校的允諾，開始籌備一個由交大及清大學生參與的大型競技活動，以不讓英國牛津、劍橋大學之間的划船比賽專美於前。負責籌備的學長夜赴清大，與清華學長相談甚歡，兩方皆認為此項比賽對促進兩校同學間情感交流，生活調劑，學藝及體育發展....等等，皆有裨益，因此達成共識，決定舉辦這項比賽。

然而關於【梅竹】名字的產生，卻有著一段有趣的小故事。話說民國五十七年12月23日，兩校代表於清大百齡堂舉行籌備會議，兩方人員相談甚歡，因此決定為這個比賽取個名字，曾提出意見有：交清盃，華通盃，新竹區大專院校聯誼競賽等。各種奇怪組合都曾被提出，但卻都無法達成共識。或許是靈感吧，因為與會的新鮮人只知清大有個紀念梅貽琦校長的梅園，而交大當時舊校區實在沒有什麼勝地，若要論交大當時幾景，則以前校長凌竹銘先生為名的竹銘館為第一，因此兩方達成共識：以【梅】代表清華，而以【竹】代表交大。然而到底是竹梅或是梅竹呢？兩方僵持不下。

最後清大張致一教授從口袋拿出了一元硬幣道：「出現梅花則稱梅竹，出現壹圓那面則稱竹梅。」銅板落定，梅竹之名從此便正式確定。
