NVIGEN Inc is a fast-growing nanobiotech start up located in Sunnyvale, California. NVIGEN develops proprietary nanoparticle reagents and devices for biomedical research. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate people with strong background in nanoparticle synthesis and bioapplication to join us.


Qualifications:

  1. Highly experienced and creative chemist in nanoparticle synthesis, surface modification and bio-conjugation reactions.
  2. M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science and engineering or related fields.
  3. Detail orientated, self motivated and enthusiasm for performing outstanding research.
  4. 3-5 years of experience in nanoparticle preparation in a biotechnology company preferred.
  5. Be passionate to meet the challenges of a fast pace start-up and excel in multitasking and beating deadlines.
  6. Excellent presentation and communication skills and enjoy working in a synergistic environment.
  7. Need to be local and eligible to work in the US.

[Tsinghua-NC] Job Opening - Senior HW Design Engineer, Battery Management



My company is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, responsible for design and development of the Battery Management Electronics for Electric Vehicles.

Senior HW Design Engineer, Battery Management
 
Job Description:
            This position will be responsible for the design and validation of electronic circuitry for an Electric Vehicle Battery Management System (BMS).  The hardware engineer will deliver a fully capable hardware design for all BMS electronics sub-systems, including the Battery Management System controller (BMS) and the Battery Measurement Unit (BMU).  The hardware engineer will also be responsible for creating and releasing all pertinent documentation according to Core Product design objectives.  The position is based in Sunnyvale, CA.  Periodic travel to China may be expected.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Design and validate BMS electronic circuitry:
    1. Apply theoretical analysis and bench evaluations to develop new product circuitry
    2. Ensure all designs fully meet applicable EMC requirements
    3. Create full schematics and system interconnects for BMS, BMU, HVFE and other system components
    4. Create Hardware Software Interface Document (HSI) for BMS system components
    5. Create appropriate design documents
  2. Per above, work closely with PCB layout and support layout activities as well as EMC activities
  3. Support next Generation Product development as follows:
    1. Creation of hardware architecture
    2. Definition of sub-systems requirements based on System specifications
    3. Development of hardware DFMEA according to hardware requirements
    4. Support System FMEA analysis from a hardware point of view
  4. Support initial hardware "bring-up"
  5. Develop and review product test plans
  6. Support Firmware integration process
  7. Manage all responsibilities to meet Program delivery expectations:
    1. Satisfy hardware timing requirements
    2. Compliance with BOM cost targets
  8. Use and apply all company standards and processes
    9.    Develop and apply a method for capturing and effectively feeding forward lessons learned from prior programs
 
Educational Background:
BSEE or MS Electrical Engineering
 
 
Additional Pluses or experience:
  • Experience with automotive industry and standards is a big plus
  • Self-starter with good working attitude and able to work in a small dynamic team,
  • Communication in English a must, knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is a plus

The qualified candidates are invited to join a highly competent R&D team led by two Berkeley educated PhDs.  More than a dozen of LinkQuest's R&D staff hold PhD degrees.

Job duties and requirements are as follows

Development of digital signal processing and image processing algorithms for advanced medical imaging systems and precision acoustic instruments. Work includes analytical algorithm development, functional and error analysis, computer simulation, mixed hardware and computer emulation, and field and clinical test verification. This position requires strong digital signal processing education, good intuition and experience with derivation and analysis in the applied research area. The candidate should be familiar with Matlab & C programming and experienced with processing experimental data on computers. Experience in 2D & 3D image processing and array signal processing is a plus.

PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied mathematics and related fields is required. For candidates with strong mathematics and physics background, basic digital signal processing education is acceptable.

The candidates must be highly focused, result-oriented and highly motivated. New graduates with strong capability, excellent working ethics and  relevant training are welcome to apply.
