Biography of Speakers:
Elizabeth Xu, Ph.D.
Elizabeth is the SVP of Software Development at RMS, responsible for global Product Development teams. Prior to RMS, She built a successful career at Vitria. She received promotions yearly in the first six years there, grew to SVP position, in charge of Vitria's Engineering, PM, WW customer Support, Education and IT Operation. Elizabeth started her career at IBM, where she had management positions and acquired deep knowledge in software development, solid management skills and leadership training. In the last few years, Dr. Xu devoted her time to elevating leadership skills in technical community. Her well-received presentation "Ten Steps to a Successful Career" provides building blocks for individuals who pursue meaningful career. Elizabeth received a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science and an M.S. in CS from the UNR. She has earned an M.S. in Atmospheric Science and B.S. in Space Physics from Peking University.

Allen Chin
Allen is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at Evans Analytical Group, a worldwide leader in analytical and testing services. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Chin served as Vice President of Human Resources for Vitria Technology, a global software enterprise company. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Chin served as the Corporate Human Resources Consulting Manager for Franklin Templeton Investments, a global investment management company. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Chin served as Vice President of Human Resources for Avinon, Inc., an eBusiness software company. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Chin served as Vice President of Human Resources for Egreetings.com, an Internet eCommerce company. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Chin served as Director of Human Resources for Mosaix, Inc., an enterprise customer software solutions company. From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Chin served as Director of Human Resources for VECTRA Technologies, Inc., a nuclear engineering consulting services company. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Chin held increasingly responsible human resource management positions for Physics International, an R & D Aerospace subsidiary of OLIN Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jean Fuller
Jean is an executive coach who has partnered with corporations and private clients for over 10 years as Principal of Fuller Coaching. Jean works with high potential executives focusing on developing their leadership to the next level with a special focus on 360 programs and critical communications for leadership change. For many of her private clients the first focus of a program with Jean is an executive career strategy and action plan to create both a rewarding career and a deeply satisfying full life.
Jean works with Stanford University as an executive coach for the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Sloan Master's Program and Career Management Center special programs. Jean was the executive coach and facilitator for the 2006 and 2007 Stanford University Graduate School of Business Founders Forum for startup company founders. Jean works extensively with international clients and both small startups and Fortune 500 companies such as Google, NetApp, Oracle, SAP, Yahoo, Intuit, Adobe, and Intel.
Jean is certified in all the key coaching methodologies, leadership and communication assessments and 360 tools. Before becoming an International Coach Federation (ICF) Certified Professional Coach and Certified Integral Coach, Jean was a VP in a retained executive search firm and an executive managing a $20M contingency recruiting program. Prior roles included sales manager for technology consulting services, engineering manager, and national customer support manager. She is an active member of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association. Jean has an office in the hills of Woodside with a view of the Stanford clock tower and San Francisco bay where clients come to do visionary work.
Dawn Peru
Dawn is currently the owner of Peru and Company, a professional recruiting firm. She has thirty years experience recruiting and staffing positions at all levels of employment, from entry level workers to top level managers. She's also coached recruits on how to successfully interview and receive offers.
Dawn spent thirteen years with Heuristics Search Inc., an agency specializing in filling Software Engineering positions. She worked as a recruiter, group manager, and account executive, mentoring candidates and hiring managers toward their mutual goals. Dawn went on to become an onsite corporate and technical contract recruiter for companies in Silicon Valley from startups to Fortune 100 firms.
Dawn has extensive training in negotiating, presentation, and communications.
