JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will be part of a system test team responsible for leading and testing Ethernet routing and switching platforms for new products. The candidate will also response for DWDM, OTN Optical Interface testing. This job requires developing comprehensive test plans based on changing and challenging product definitions, scaling targets and use case scenarios; executing test plans and discovering defects at various stages of release process. The candidate should have strong Perl/Tcl scripting skill and automate each testcases. The candidate should be able to setup test equipment in the lab, use third party network test tools and debug complex problems to isolate bugs from desired behavior, execute existing tests and analyze results for true failures.

Requirements:
o BS/MS in EE/CS or related fields
o 5+ years of hands on experience testing complex L2/L3 products
o In-depth knowledge and proven skills in L3 and L2 techniques: OSPF, BGP, ISIS, QOS, PIM, Spanning Tree, Vlans, Vlan trunking, 802.1X, Ethernet
o Strong DWDM, OTN optical test experience
o Strong background and detailed understanding of enterprise/data center  customer network design, testing, deployment and troubleshooting a plus
o  Strong test automation or programming skills in Perl, TCL or C  is a plus.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Self starter, proactive and must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities include:

Help define and design large scale next generation routing product.
Identify risk and testability in the early design phase.
Design and implement test plan to address very specific engineering
needs.
Design and automate test cases during the development cycle.
Perform integration testing in with high-availability features.
Performance characterization of various networking features.

Requirements:

MSCS MSCE MSEE + 7 year of engineering experience or BSCS BSCE BSEE + 10
years of engineering experience In depth network router testing
experience.
In depth large scale network testing experience.
Testing experience of high availability features.
Leadership experience.
C/C++, Perl, UNIX Shell Scripting, TCL/Expect UNIX operating system and
embedded real-time operating system Network technology such as Ethernet,
SONET, ATM, T1/E1, T3/E3 and DSL.
Layer 2 protocol such as VLAN, PPP, Frame Relay, PPPoE, Multi-link PPP,
FRF.15, FRF.16 TCP/IP, UDP, CRTP, MPLS.
QoS, Firewall, IPSec,
Routing Protocol such as BGP, ISIS and OSPF.
Experience with large core router is required.
Experience deploying routers in service provider network is a big plus.
Hands on experience with router testers.
Strong debugging and problem solving skill Strong communication skill
