Staff SW Engineer, AP Team

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
5+ years of related experience
Hands-on experience with dynamic front-end technologies JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, AJAX frameworks
Experience on web development using J2EE, Spring framework.
Demonstrated experience with applications utilizing XML, JSON and Web Services
Ideal candidate would have experience using one or more of the following: YUI, Prototype, jQuery, other javascript libraries
Experience using XSLT, cgi.
Knowledge of database, content repository is big plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Quick learner, eager to leverage new technologies in a dynamic team environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience on collaborating with multiple location international team is plus.

We're a team of 6 people who are passionate about developing a great
website.

We're looking to hire a Full-Time Contract Django/Python engineer (2-3 years
experience) based in bay area, California.

Here is a list of important things we're looking for in our ideal colleague:
- You love Django, and understand why we are passionate about it.
- You are great at jQuery (galleria plugin, highcharts, jquery UI etc. too)
- Virtualenv/pip/fabric are your swiss army knives!
- You can get an Ubuntu instance up and ready to deploy a Django app in
under 30 minutes!
- You have written your own custom template tags / filters
- Be able to communicate in Chinese is a big plus

Three new job categories are added as below in addition to the ones
announced a few weeks ago:

(1) IC Design Engineers

Ph.D. or Master degree majored in EE or CS related. Familiar with many-core
CPU and GPU architectural design, lower power or near-threshold circuit
design, IC & FPGA design flow and verification, ESL design flow and
analysis, with at least 3 years of technical or management experiences on
system on chip project.

(2) Embedded System Engineers

Ph.D. or Master degree majored in EE or CS related. Familiar with Linux
system on embedded platform, Android system (above 4.0 is better), ARM
architecture, embedded graphics processor unit (GPU) system, Mali or PowerVR
is better. At least 3 years of technical or management experiences on system
on chip project.

(3) Technology Representatives for promoting Taiwan-US Industrial
Cooperation
Technology Marketing / Sales / IP background, MS degree and/or proven
expertise in relevant technical fields, especially ICT, Green Energy, or
Biotechnology. Seek and develop collaboration and tech transfer
opportunities between US and ITRI, Taiwanese companies, institutes, etc.
Needs some travel to the US as necessary.
