As a member of the Security Platform Software group at Juniper Networks, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in development of our state-of-the-art SRX security platforms with world-class integrated security and routing that delivers market-leading performance, scalability and service integration. You will be developing systems, analyzing and tuning system performance, and helping keep Juniper a leader in the high-end integrated firewall market. This position is an opportunity for you to contribute to and grow Juniper's market share in the service provider and large enterprise markets.

You will be working on:
- Design, test, and support kernel and OS infrastructure modules in multi-core/multi-processor high performance and scalable networking systems
- Design and test software for kernel-level services, multi-threading, packet processing, network stack, and networking and hardware accelerator device drivers
- Supporting key customers in both pre and post sales support

Required Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of MSEE/MSCS/PHD with 2-4 years relevant experiences, or BSEE/BSCS with 4-6 years, or equivalent experiences
- Extensive and advanced knowledge of OS internals and computer architecture and organization, Linux/BSD knowledge is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure and embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with C and assembly programming, large-scale software project experience is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of PPC, MIPS architectures and programming is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated team player, and capable of working in a fast paced R&D environment
