Being the original “gateway†for doing business in China, Shenzhen is now reputedly one of the fastest growing cities in the world, a global financial center and home to numerous high-tech companies like Huawei (“Ciscoâ€of China), Tencent (on-line messaging and games), Alibaba (e-commerce), Mindray (medical devices) and many others that operate in sectors in which Washington state excels as well. Microsoft maintains a facility in the Shenzhen Hi-Tech Industrial Park as do other foreign global companies, demonstrating that Shenzhen is an ideal location for foreign direct investment.
The Shenzhen Software Industry Association and the WTIA have been partners since 2007, sharing mutual commitments to expand international trade and commerce opportunities for both their member companies.
