Job Description | We are looking for top software engineering talent at all levels (entry level to architect) to join a team building a next-generation cloud computing platform. VMware vCloud Director is a flagship product delivering industry scale self-service datacenters on top of a virtualized fabric. You will be working in a world-class team respected for its innovation and execution, putting some definition to those buzzwords. We are based in Palo Alto on the main campus with great facilities and a very comfortable working environment. Our development process is a version of SCRUM and the team has a record of successful deliveries going back many years. If you love shipping software that extends the technology frontier, then this is for you. Requirements: • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science • Top notch problem solving skills • Demonstrated ability to write good 'social' code • Open mind and willingness to learn from peers, and help them grow as engineers • Ability to work effectively in a complex development environment • Commitment to deliver on time and to spec Our development technologies: • Java EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, OSGi, Maven • Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres • VMware vSphere Experience in these is not required, but will be useful.
