Sr. Oracle Database Administrator  Location  - United States-CA-Foster City Organization  - CyberSource Job  - Sr. Oracle Database Administration Description   CyberSource, a Visa company, is a global leader in eCommerce payment management. CyberSource was one of the world's first payment gateways, connecting online merchants to payment networks, including Visa. Today, CyberSource offers a full-service payment management platform for eCommerce merchants, combining global payment processing, fraud management and payment security systems.   We're looking for a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to join our Operations team in managing, maintaining and continue to enhance our production database systems in a 24x7, high transaction volume, mission critical environment.   Specific Responsibilities Install, configure and manage Oracle on Sun Solaris/Linux environment Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the Oracle in  24 X 7 environment Develop scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks, i.e. backups, refreshes, failover Provide backup and restore functions for Oracle databases Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution of problems Ensure system stability and availability Tune database parameters for optimal systems performance Aid developers in detecting performance problems including analysis of SQL, PL/SQL and JDBC code Maintain data consistency between data servers Establish and maintain documentation and standards  Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required Qualifications   Qualifications 5+ years hands on production DBA experience Experience with Oracle/UNIX RAC Knowledge of SQL*Plus and PL/SQL  Knowledge of replication technologies, such as Golden Gate Replication Knowledge of Sybase/MySQL/SQL server is a plus. Ability to think creatively under pressure Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical discipline.
