[Tsinghua-NC] Senior/Principal Engineer – Cloud Services

Samsung's new Media Solutions Center America, located in San Jose, California is currently recruiting world-class cloud and web services senior professionals who share our "Innovation through Passion" philosophy and thrive in a fast-pace, cross team, results-driven environment. Duties
• Lead and participate in architecture discussions for Samsung's cloud platform services
• Evaluate new service proposals, determine feasibility, and architecture implications
• Architect and build evaluation services and provide documentation
• Active participation in evaluation of services – both internal and external
• Participate in industry events, where appropriate
• Work with UX Labs and HQ development teams
Qualifications
• Strong track record of developing and deploying web services
• Experience with convergence technologies with multiple consumer devices and services
• History of leadership/influence in evaluating and developing web services and web platforms
• Understanding of Hadoop and big data .
• BS in Computer Science
• A minimum of 8-10 years experience in services, upcoming internet technologies and working with product groups or with product strategy teams.

Desirable skills:
• Experience in R&D or proof of concept project environments
• Experience with managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience with common standards such as Web services, HTTP, XML, Hadoop, PHP, Python, Java
• Experience working with multi-cultural and distributed teams to define direction and lead initiatives.
• MS in Computer Science
