Hi,
Company Overview
eBay, Inc. is forming a new business unit, X.Commerce, that will work with our developer community to create commerce solutions for merchants. Technology is changing the way people shop. Advancements in mobile technology, social media and local shopping are fundamentally changing the way consumers find and buy products. Merchants of all sizes need new capabilities to keep up with these changes. eBay Inc.'s world class family of brands, that includes PayPal, GSI, RedLaser, Milo, Where, and others, offer many of the capabilities merchants are looking for.
In 2009, we saw the power of opening up our technology platforms to third-party developers with PayPal's platform, known as "X". We were the first global payments company to take this bold step. Now we are taking another bold step with the creation of X.Commerce, an open commerce operating system that will give merchants and developers access to our full set of commerce capabilities. In addition, we are partnering with some of the world's biggest and most exciting commerce companies and start ups to further enhance our commerce operating system.
The X.Commerce ecosystem will be at the forefront of commerce innovation and we are looking for talented and motivated professionals who want to help make the X.Commerce experience remarkable for our developers, merchants and consumers.
