Qualifications | |
BS degree plus 15 years, OR Master's degree plus 10 years, OR Ph.D. degree plus 6 years of relevant experience and accomplishments. Demonstrated past results in inventing, implementing and productizing signal processing/image processing algorithms is a must. Experience with programming languages (C/ C++), operating systems (Linux, Windows) and architecture analysis and design, familiarity with computing/communication standards and tools like Matlab is needed. Experience semiconductor Inspection and metrology equipment industry is a plus. |
Algorithm Engineer (104401)
The job requires development of signal and image processing algorithms for the next generations of optical inspection and metrology systems.
The work includes algorithm proof-of-concept design and implementation, production software design and implementation, performance characterization, documentation. Significant fraction of time will also be spent on system modeling, requirements development and system characterization.
The candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with ability to work independently or in a team. Strong written and verbal communications skills are needed for extensive interactions with members of a multi-disciplinary global team.
Qualifications
Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Doctorate (Academic)
The successful candidate is an independent and innovative thinker with solid fundamental knowledge and working experience in areas of linear systems, filter theory, signal and/or image processing.
Software skills required include C++, OOD/OOP, MATLAB and/or Python.
Experience in any one of the following areas is a big plus : radar, sonar or astronomy signal processing, feature extraction, pattern recognition, algorithm performance optimization, distributed computing.
Background in Physics or EE is a also plus.
Sr. Image Computer/Software Engineer (104743)

Software Engineer (104320)
The Surfscan-ADE division of KLA-Tencor is an industry leading supplier of wafer metrology systems. Wafer suppliers and device manufacturers worldwide rely on our measurement and inspection systems to certify and ensure the highest quality bare silicon substrates. Semiconductor device yields begin with the bare wafer, and our leading technology provides early insight into surface defect, shape, flatness and nanotopography and other advanced metrics of these 300mm substrates. In the near future our inspection and measurement systems will be able to handle next generation substrates with the diameter of 450mm. Our optical laser interferometry will support the next several generations of IC manufacturing.
The successful candidate will join a world-class team of software engineers to conceive, design, develop, optimize, and integrate advanced algorithms and software modules used in geometric wafer inspection. She/he will be working independently to design, develop, and debug complex computer software systems, requiring in-depth evaluation of analysis of various factors, exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. The successful candidate will work independently to design and develop software for current and next generations of Surface Metrology tool.
